Audi Reports October Sales Results - Best Ever A8 Month

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 2, 2004 -- Audi of America, Inc. sales for the month of October were 6,089 compared to 6,631 in October 2003. Audi year-to-date sales are 63,388 vs. 70,230.

Year-over-year increases were realized in Audi's all-aluminum flagship the A8 as well as the A4/S4 and A4/S4 Cabriolet ranges. A8 sales were 776 this October vs. 466 one year ago, a 66.5 percent rise. These results mark the best A8 month in the history of the car being sold in America and include sales of both the A8 L long wheelbase version and the A8 normal wheelbase version which first went on sale in mid-June. In the A4/S4 model range, sales were 3,359 vs. 3,196, a 5.1 percent increase. Audi A4/S4 Cabriolet sales were above last year by 3.9 percent (717 vs. 690).

Audi Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) results were 2,294 units sold, a 31.6 percent increase over the same month last year. The year-to-date CPO sales results are 20,610, a 19.1 percent increase from 2003 year-to-date sales of 17,298. With these results, Audi CPO sales have already exceeded the full year 2003 results (20,558) with a full two months remaining.
