WEATHER GUARD(R) Vehicle Solutions(TM) Software from Knaack Manufacturing Allows Users to Create and Visualize Custom Van Designs Before Purchase

CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill., Nov. 2, 2004 -- Knaack Manufacturing Company is introducing its revolutionary WEATHER GUARD(R) Vehicle Solutions(TM) software that assists end users and vehicle upfitters to interactively design van storage solutions. The first tool of its type in the contractor-vehicle outfitting industry, the easy-to-use, web-based software tool allows users to custom-design work vans with shelving, cabinets, racks and accessories. The 3-D software produces simple-to-use interactive graphics to help the user visualize the custom design prior to purchase. Design revisions are quick and easy, and once the van design is finalized, the end user can print the design drawing and the corresponding list of materials needed.

The software simplifies and accelerates all elements of the design process. Because of the logic embedded in the software, the program will not allow the user to configure the van design with products that are inappropriate for a particular vehicle model, thus eliminating costly errors.

After selecting a vehicle model type, the software prompts users to design their van in four easy steps: 1) choose a trade, 2) choose a module, 3) add accessories and 4) review order. Users build their van by moving through the van in six zones; the software offers design suggestions as the user builds. With the click of a button, the user can view different configurations before deciding on an option. The visually exciting software also allows the user to conduct a virtual "walk-through" by allowing the user to zoom in and out, rotate and spin the vehicle, and change perspectives. Once the custom design is completed, the user has the option of uploading the design to a local upfitter that will provide a quote for materials and labor.
