South Florida International Auto Show Goes Back in Time

MIAMI, Nov. 1, 2004 -- The South Florida International Auto Show isn't just about the latest cars, trucks and SUVs. The show also gives visitors a "blast from the past" experience with its Memory Lane display.

  

Memory Lane features antique cars from the 30s through the 70s, giving visitors a nostalgic look at the cars that have inspired the automobiles of today. Presented by the Antique Automobile Club of America South Florida Region, Memory Lane will include such classics as a 1956 Bel Air Coupe, a 1931 Ford Model A Speedster race car and a 1956 Ford T-Bird.

"The cars in Memory Lane hold a special place in the hearts of many South Floridians," said Mel Mann, president of the Antique Automobile Club of America, South Florida Region. "The exhibit brings back memories of these classic cars to some, and allows others to dream about the times of the past."
