Newman, UnderX by Ringers -Atlanta Post-Qualifying Release

NEWMAN AND UNDERX  BY RINGERS, THIRD TIME A CHARM! 

Indianapolis – (October 29,  2004) Penske Racing South driver  Ryan Newman 
and UnderX by Ringers captured the pole for the third weekend  straight in 
NASCAR Nextel Cup Series action at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the  Bass Pro Shops 
MBNA 500. 
Newman recorded his eighth pole of  the season, second pole at Atlanta in 
2004, on Friday with a 191.575  mph/28.939 second lap. 
Hopefully his third pole in three  weekends will be “third time is a charm” 
and the No. 12 ALLTEL Dodge will end up  in Victory  Lane come Sunday. 
Newman’s Penske teammates Rusty  Wallace and Brendan Gaughan qualified 12th 
and 25th  respectively. 
Sunday’s race will be broadcasted  live on NBC at 12:00 p.m. (ET).
