AMECA Announces Cooperative Agreement with Dr. Marvin Weintraub and MHW, Ltd. for Representation to the Friction Material Industry

WASHINGTON, Oct. 29, 2004 -- AMECA (Automotive Manufacturer Equipment Compliance Agency) announces a cooperative agreement with Dr. Marvin Weintraub for representation to the friction material industry.

Dr. Marvin Weintraub is one of the foremost Friction Material Consultants in the world. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and worked with the Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry. Prior to forming a consulting company, he held numerous positions at Ford Motor Company. At Ford Motor Research Staff he directed fundamental Tribology studies, developed non-asbestos friction materials, evaluated worldwide friction material companies from manufacturing to quality control. He was responsible for technology transfer to Ford friction material suppliers on a global basis. Dr. Weintraub has lectured extensively throughout the world at friction material, brake system and automotive companies. He has been a guest lecturer and honored professor at numerous universities.

Dr. Weintraub is the co-founder and general chairman of the SAE brake colloquium, which is the largest conference on friction materials and brakes in the world.
