Subaru Announces SevenSeats Contest

-- Company Promotes Film-Making Challenge for Launch of New Seven-Passenger

                       Crossover Utility Vehicle --

What: Next year Subaru will launch its first ever crossover utility
vehicle with flexible seating for up to seven passengers. To
celebrate the event and generate enthusiasm, Subaru has partnered
         with Refinery, a Philadelphia-based interactive e-business firm,
to enlist the help of students or amateur and independent
filmmakers to produce 30-second film shorts to generate awareness
for the launch of the new vehicle.

Films submitted for the contest will be posted online at
SevenSeats.com, where other filmmakers, casual viewers and Web
surfers can view the spots and rate their favorites. Online
voting will determine the seven spots that make it to the final
round of judging by a select Subaru team. The winning spot will be
announced in January 2005. The winner can choose from a $10,000
scholarship to his/her school of choice or a combination of $5,000
cash and $5,000 in new media equipment.

         The contest website is: http://www.sevenseats.com/.

When: The contest began in October and runs through December 31, 2004.

How: Interested participants should go directly to
         http://www.sevenseats.com/ to download contest rules.
