Two New Satellite Radio Products to SEMA 2004
Line up led by Delphi MyFi and another new satellite radio product to be introduced next week
TROY, Mich., Oct. 28 -- Delphi Corp. today announced it will showcase the recently introduced Delphi MyFi and introduce another satellite radio product at the 2004 Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) show at the Las Vegas Convention Center November 2-5, 2004. In addition, Delphi will display its complete line of satellite radios and entertainment products for the consumer market in booth 10566.
Delphi MyFi is the first truly personal, portable unit -- a revolution in satellite radio, with the ability to store up to five hours of XM. MyFi is the first product in the XM2GO category, the third phase of satellite radio following vehicle installed units and plug and play.
In addition to the MyFi and an all-new satellite radio product, Delphi will display the Delphi XM SKYFi2 and Roady2 satellite radio receivers and accessories for the home, vehicle, marine environment, office and remote locations. The Delphi XM SKYFi2 features the first-ever "pause" and "replay" functions for satellite radio. Using leading edge technology, the "Exclusive Pause/Reply" feature continuously and automatically saves the last 30 minutes of programming -- including programming from multiple XM channels. In addition, listeners can pause the program they are listening to with the option to playback that programming within 30 minutes. The unit also has a built-in wireless FM modulator, personalized stock ticker, personalized sports scores, a clock, TuneSelect by song and artist and much more.
Roady2 is by far the smallest plug-and-play model on the market, about half the size of competing models, and features the smallest satellite radio antenna available. Roady2 was also the industry's first satellite radio receiver capable of displaying up to 20 customized stock quotes simultaneous with XM's 130 digital radio channels of commercial-free music and premier news, sports, and talk radio.
Delphi will also demonstrate its rear-seat entertainment systems featuring a new 10.2-inch widescreen with an integrated DVD player. The Delphi mobile video units play DVDs, VCDs, CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs and MP3 formatted CDs to satisfy the entertainment needs of today's rear-seat passengers.
