Tower Automotive Hires Terry Gohl as Vice President of North American Operations

NOVI, Mich.--Oct. 2, 20047, 2004--Tower Automotive, Inc. today announced that Terry Gohl, 43, has joined the company as vice president of North American operations, effective immediately. Gohl reports to Kathleen Ligocki, president and chief executive officer of Tower Automotive.

"Terry brings 20 years of automotive industry leadership to Tower Automotive," said Ligocki. "His expertise in implementing lean manufacturing systems and operational improvements will enhance our efforts to drive excellence throughout the organization. We are delighted to welcome Terry aboard."

Previously, Gohl spent 10 years in executive positions with automotive supplier Lear Corporation. Most recently, he served as vice president of Lear's North American operations with responsibility for 26 manufacturing locations, revenues of $2.1 billion and more than 10,000 employees. During his tenure at Lear, Gohl also was vice president of the Transnational Group and Interior System Division, among others.

In addition, Gohl's prior experience includes engineering and sales positions with Automotive Industries Corporation, CSM Corporation and General Motors' Fisher Body Division.

Gohl holds a bachelor of science degree in manufacturing engineering and an associate degree in plastics engineering, both from Ferris State University, Mich.
