The Individual Communicators Network (ICN), a not-for-profit association of independent business communicators, will again manage the program.

"We're proud to be able to hold the 2005 International Wheel Awards at the Automotive Hall of Fame, with the management of ICN, for the third year," said Edward Lapham, president of the Detroit Press Club Foundation (DPCF). "This decades-old competition honors excellence in journalism for those who cover the global automotive industry."

Jeff Leestma, president of the AHF, said, "The Hall of Fame has created a permanent exhibit, honoring each year's Wheel Awards winners, featuring one of the beautiful trophies."

"ICN members are pleased to continue our collaboration with the Detroit Press Club Foundation and the Automotive Hall of Fame in presenting the Wheel Awards," said Sally Ann Brown, president of ICN.

Entries are open to material published or aired in 2004. Awards will be announced at an April ceremony at the AHF in Dearborn, Mich.

Initial award categories include Best News Story, Best Editorial or Column, Best Product Review/Evaluation, and Best News Photography for Newspaper, General Interest Magazine/Special Interest Publication, and Internet publications. Television and radio awards are given for Best News Programming and Best Documentary. Categories may be revised before final rules are published.

Final categories, entry forms and rules will be available Nov. 1, on the ICN Web site: http://www.icnpr.net/ . They may also be obtained by calling Steve Purdy at (517) 655-3591, or through any other ICN member.
