U.S. Micro Corp. Signs on as New Primary Sponsor of Todd Bodine and Arnold Motorsports for Atlanta's NASCAR Nextel Cup Event

U.S. Micro, an Atlanta computer and technology asset disposal company, says pioneering NASCAR sponsorship is an effective marketing tool for smaller companies

ATLANTA, Oct. 27 -- U.S. Micro Corporation announced today that it has become the primary sponsor of the #50 Arnold Motorsports Dodge for the Bass Pro Shops/MBNA 500 in Atlanta this week with Todd Bodine behind the wheel.

U.S. Micro, a national computer and technology asset management company, became an associate sponsor and "official computer provider" for the #50 Dodge team for the remainder of the 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series season three weeks ago beginning with the Kansas City race.

"With our company being based in Atlanta, having an increased direct involvement in this event through sponsorship of the #50 NASCAR Nextel Cup car allows us the opportunity to entertain customers and reward our employees at a high-profile event with national exposure," said Jim Kegley, U.S. Micro Corporation president. "We have approximately 40 guests who will be attending the event in support of our sponsorship."

U.S. Micro has previously sponsored the NASCAR team of Brett Bodine, Todd Bodine's brother, over two seasons. Kegley continues to appreciate the value of NASCAR sponsorship to U.S. Micro. "As a pioneer among smaller NASCAR sponsor companies, we carefully weighed the benefits of NASCAR marketing before partnering with Brett's team, and now Todd's," Kegley said. "Our NASCAR sponsorships have delivered everything we had hoped for: customer and prospect entertainment opportunities in all parts of the country; increased local and national exposure for our company through the media and the added marketing muscle of NASCAR; and enjoyable incentives and rewards for our employees."

"Our Dodge will have a whole new look for Atlanta," added Don Arnold, team owner. "We introduced a new paint scheme at Martinsville, but with the U.S. Micro logos on the car in Atlanta, it should definitely be an attention- getter. The #50 Dodge now carries the same 'lucky' paint scheme as the #30 Toyota truck and with a new sponsor and Todd behind the wheel, hopefully the success will carry over as well. We should be very competitive."
