Sports Car Enthusiasts Can Now Enjoy an Enhanced Radio Experience With the Top Down

NEW YORK, Oct. 26 -- Mercedes-Benz USA and SIRIUS , the premium satellite radio provider known for delivering the very best in commercial-free music and sports programming to cars and homes across the country, today announced the availability of SIRIUS in the Mercedes-Benz SLK350 Roadster, the aggressive and dynamic new convertible sports car.

Drivers can enjoy 65 channels of digital-quality, commercial-free music; the entire selection of NFL games every week; a comprehensive lineup of college sports and an unmatched variety of comedy, news and entertainment programming.

The equipment required to receive SIRIUS is specifically engineered for the SLK and is fully integrated into the Mercedes-Benz audio system. This allows the customer to enjoy pure digital sound and to view content information, such as song title, artist name, and real-time sports scores, live on the head-unit display.

SIRIUS Satellite Radio is available as a dealer-installed option for $679 plus installation, which includes a one-year-paid SIRIUS subscription plus two bonus months of service for a total of 14 months of service. The SIRIUS service can be included in a customer's lease, making satellite radio even more affordable.

The 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster increases to 10 the number of Mercedes-Benz vehicle lines -- nearly the full lineup of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the U.S. -- on which SIRIUS Satellite Radio is available.

"Mercedes-Benz is very excited to offer SIRIUS Satellite Radio on the new SLK 350 Roadster, providing our customers with a premium audio experience in an innovative vehicle," said Klaus Ulkann, Mercedes-Benz Vice-President of Customer Services.

"Both SIRIUS and Mercedes-Benz represent the premium driving experience," said Doug Wilsterman, SIRIUS Senior Vice President, Automotive OEM. "Driving enthusiasts who choose the great-looking and great-performing SLK350 can choose SIRIUS as the perfect option."
