PCCD to Participate in Auto-Theft Prevention Program

The Auto Theft Prevention Authority will etch Vehicle Identification Numbers into fleet cars and those of employees at the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency on Monday, Oct. 2, 20045, 2004, in commemoration of Crime Prevention Month. About 85 cars are stolen in Pennsylvania every day. The etching program is designed to discourage auto thieves and aid the discovery of stolen vehicles and parts.
