DENSO Manufacturing Arkansas Donates $20,000 to American Red Cross for Disaster Relief

Contribution to Aid Cooter, Mo. after Devastating Tornado

OSCEOLA, Ark., Oct. 22 -- DENSO Manufacturing Arkansas (DMAR) today announced that it has contributed $20,000 to the American Red Cross, Cape Girardeau Chapter, to assist in helping the nearby City of Cooter, Mo., recover from last Monday's devastating tornado.

"A storm may be strong, but communities and industries, working together, are stronger," said DMAR President Jerry McGuire. "We're glad we could lend a hand to the citizens of Cooter and assist in their clean-up efforts."

In addition to the American Red Cross contribution, McGuire said DMAR employees are holding a drive for nonperishable goods at their facility for the storm victims.

"The town of Cooter would like to thank the DENSO North America Foundation for its generous contribution to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund," said Cooter Mayor Russell Neal. "The tornado that struck our community on the evening of October 18 was a devastating event for everyone involved. Our appreciation for the compassion of DENSO and all of its associates cannot be expressed in words."

The DMAR contribution was funded through the DENSO North America Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporate foundation that provides grants to the American Red Cross to provide aid to persons and communities in distress due to the impact of natural disasters in North American locations in which DENSO operates.
