RINGERS RECOGNIZES NASCAR CHAMPIONS

Indianapolis – (October 20, 2004) Ringers Gloves racers Greg Pursley and
Andy Santerre have both ended their racing seasons on high…both with NASCAR
championships added to their resumes.
Pursley of Santa Clarita, Calif., also an instructor at the Performance
Race Training School based at Irwindale Speedway, competes in the NASCAR Dodge
Weekly Racing Series Sunbelt Region, which includes eight tracks in Arizona,
California, Georgia, Nevada, Tennessee and Texas.
Pursley drove his No. 13 A-1 Spring/King Taco/Watkins Engine
Development/Ringers Gloves Monte Carlo to 14 wins in 19 starts, including five consecutive
wins, 16 top-five’s and 18 top-10 finishes.
Pursley won the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series Sunbelt Region
Championship, was then compared to seven other NASCAR Regional champions across the
States and named the overall NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series National Champion.
Pursely is only the second West Coast driver to pick up the National
Champion belt.
Last weekend, Pursley was flown to Charlotte as a guest of NASCAR’s for the
NASCAR Nextel Cup UAW-GM Quality 500 weekend racing events.
Pursley will be honored at the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series banquet
next weekend and will be a VIP guest at the NASCAR Nextel Cup banquet in
December in New York City.
On September 24, fellow Ringers racer Andy Santerre picked up a fifth place
finishing spot in the MBNA America 150 at Dover International Speedway to
clinch his third consecutive NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series
Championship.
Santerre, a Cherryfield, Maine native, transplanted to Harrisburg, N.C.,
will pick up his third championship trophy at the Mohegan Sun Resort in
