Electricore, Inc. Announces Appointment of Mark Cohen as Executive Director
INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 20, 2004 -- Electricore, Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Cohen as Executive Director (Acting) of the Company, effective October 7, 2004. Cohen has served on Electricore's Board of Directors since April, 2002 and has resigned from the Board to continue his contribution to Electricore's success as Executive Director.
Commenting on the appointment, Ilker "Ike" Bayraktar Director and Secretary/Treasurer of Electricore, Inc. said, "We look at changes as an opportunity, and we are moving into very exciting times with new leadership."
Mr. Mark Cohen has extensive experience with ultracapacitors, batteries, and photovoltaics, power systems design, vehicle technology, product marketing, business development, and program management. Since 1990, Mr. Cohen has served in such roles as director of ultra-capacitor system development at Maxwell Technologies, and project leader for electric and hybrid vehicle development at AeroVironment. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from California State University, and Master of Science in Technology Management from Pepperdine University.
Electricore, Inc., headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that was established in 1993 in response to a request by the Department of Defense, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) as one of seven regionally based advanced transportation technology research and development consortia in the United States. Electricore operates in Indiana, California and Hawaii, and soon will start operation in Michigan and Washington D.C.
