EPOD International Inc. Announces Independent Test Results

KELOWNA, British Columbia--Oct. 2, 20040, 2004--EPOD International Inc. (OTCBB:EPOI), a leading developer of advanced energy management technologies that significantly increase the efficiency of electrical power devices, today announces the results of independent engineering tests performed by Powertech Labs Inc., a subsidiary of B.C. Hydro, on its new single-phase rectifier.

The Powertech engineering report covers testing carried out at Powertech on June 2, 2004, on EPOD's proprietary, single-phase rectifier and confirms the Company's previous internal test results of 96% efficiency under identical test parameters. The EPOD Rectifier has consistently been measured to be 96% efficient whereas the average efficiency of existing industry standard rectifiers has been measured at approximately 70%.
