GoinGreen Wins Prestigious T-Mobile Startups Business of the Year Award
LEEDS, England, October 20 -- On Friday 15 October, London-based GoinGreen the company pioneering the environmentally friendly car market and retailer of the G-Wiz electric car - was named T-Mobile Startups Business of the Year as it beat off competition from three other finalists to win the GBP5,000 prize at the inaugural Startups Awards. GoinGreen also won the Community Impact Award, sponsored by Business Community Connections (BCConnections).
Held at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington and presented by Sky TVs Adrienne Lawler, the awards celebrate and reward the best business startups in 13 categories and were launched by Crimson Publishing, publisher of Startups.co.uk, the largest website for people starting and running their own businesses. The judging panel included: Judith Rutherford, CEO, Businesslink London; Marcus Austin, editor-in-chief, Startups.co.uk; James Hart, head of business marketing, T-Mobile; Michelle Mone, CEO, MJM International (Ultimo); Richard Reed, co-founder, Innocent Drinks; Simon Woodroffe, founder, Yo Sushi!; Sahar Haschemi, founder, Coffee Republic and Daniel Edwards, director BSBI (Big Small Business Initiative).
There were 250 entries for the T-Mobile Startups Business of the Year Award and the judges were looking for evidence of business success, market research, overall organisational and team-building effectiveness, strategic planning for continued growth and sustainability, visionary leadership, social and community responsibility and overcoming obstacles and barriers to success.
