Infiniti Announces Pricing on 2005 G35 Sedan and Coupe; Enhancements Include Available 298-Horsepower V6, Refined Sedan Exterior

GARDENA, Calif.--Oct. 1, 20049, 2004--Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, Inc., today announced 2005 model year pricing on the enhanced Infiniti G35 sedan and G35 coupe. Both receive a number of significant changes for 2005, including an increase in power to 298 horsepower for manual transmission-equipped models (available late December 2004), enhanced Sport-Tuned Suspension Packages and refined interiors. The G35 sedan also receives a restyled exterior, along with increased horsepower for automatic transmission-equipped models. Both the G35 sedan and G35 coupe now offer the most powerful V6 engines in class(a).

The 2005 G35 sedan features a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $30,700, while the all-wheel drive G35x and the 298-horsepower G35 6MT feature a MSRP of $32,500 and $30,450 respectively.

The 2005 G35 coupe 6MT is priced at a MSRP of $33,000. The 5-speed automatic transmission-equipped G35 coupe starts at a MSRP of $32,400.

2005 G35 Sedan

The G35's standard DOHC 3.5-liter V6 engine now offers 280 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, increases of 20 horsepower and 10 lb-ft of torque for automatic transmission-equipped models. The G35 6-speed manual transmission-equipped model receives an additional increase in power output to 298 horsepower.

The 2005 G35 sedan also offers a restyled exterior and upgraded interior. The exterior features include a new hood and trunk, new front and rear bumpers, body-colored side sills, revised headlight lens and new dual circle taillights. The changes to the interior include a new, even higher quality look and feel with the use of real aluminum trim and new available Rosewood trim, two new interior colors and a redesigned instrument panel, console area, door panels and mp3 playback capability added to the standard 6-disc CD changer.

For 2005, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (VLSD) are added to the Sport-Tuned Suspension Package.

2005 G35 Coupe

The Infiniti G35 coupe increases its already impressive performance capabilities for the 2005 model year with the addition of the Sport-Tuned Suspension Package featuring 19-inch wheels and tires, Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (VLSD), sport-tuned springs/dampers, aluminum pedals and sport steering wheel. The G35 coupe offers 280 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, while the G35 coupe 6MT model offers 298 horsepower.

The G35 coupe's interior has also been refined with a new instrument panel and console area and use of new materials and textures, including the addition of real aluminum trim on the center console, door grips and dash, and mp3 playback capability added to the standard 6-disc CD changer. Ultra-soft leather-appointed seats are now standard on all models.

Available options include Infiniti Navigation System, a new Wood Package (available February 2005), Aero Package, Premium Package, Sunroof and Performance Tire and Wheel Package.
