AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 18 -- Clarity Technologies Inc. (http://www.claritycvc.com/ ), the leading independent provider with the technology, expertise, focus and services to deliver a superior solution for improving the audio quality and performance of voice-based communications, announced today at the SAE Convergence conference held in Detroit, Michigan that global automotive supplier Visteon Corporation will use Clarity's CVC(R) (Clear Voice Capture) software technology for its Bluetooth enabled hands-free cellular access systems being supplied to automotive manufacturers throughout Europe, Asia and the US.

The use of Clarity's "CVC(R) - Clear Hands-free" CHF software portfolio includes Clarity's CVC(R) (Clear Voice Capture) technology for noise suppression and echo cancellation. Clarity created its CVC(R) - CHF product specifically for Automotive and Telematics customers. In the automotive industry, Clarity Technologies' CVC(R) technology is in production or available in products for automotive equipment in-car cellular handsets and aftermarket hands free car-kits.

"Our award winning CVC(R) software has been selected by 5 of the top 6 automotive nameplates in the world for hands-free phones. We believe that Visteon, known globally as a leader and innovator of advanced digital signal processing technologies for audio, is taking a leadership position in the communication audio path. We expect the relationship will bring the highest level of voice quality and speech recognition accuracy in the industry and we expect to see some extremely novel deployments of hands free products in consumers hands in the very near future," said Raymond Gunn, Clarity president and CEO.
