ALL Announces Agreement with BUNGE ALIMENTOS

CURITIBA, Brazil--Oct. 1, 20048, 2004--America Latina Logistica ("ALL") (Bovespa:ALLL4) announced that it has entered into a long-term agreement with BUNGE ALIMENTOS S.A. ("BUNGE") for transporting agriculture bulks through the rail network, reaching approximately 50 million tons in the 2005-2010 period and nearly 220 million tons in the 2010-2027 period. Such additional volume assures a significant growth considering the fact that in 2003, ALL transported total 22.2 million tons. This agreement contemplates continuous increases in transported volumes, starting from an expected volume of 5.0 million tons in 2004 and reaching 13.3 million tons in 2010, as detailed in the table below. BUNGE will provide necessary rail cars for this additional volume.

ALL will make necessary investments in permanent way, construction of new maneuver areas and rail intersections, and acquisition of locomotives. The obligations that bind each party under the agreement are subject to contracted terms and authorizations issued by related Government authorities.
