R. L. Polk & Co. Names Joseph Graczyk Jr. Vice President, DaimlerChrysler Team

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 18, 2004 -- R. L. Polk & Co. today announced the appointment of Joseph Graczyk Jr. as vice president, DaimlerChrysler OEM team. In this role, Graczyk will be responsible for managing the development, production, sale and delivery of products and services for the DaimlerChrysler account within Polk's OEM organization.

"Joe is a leader in bringing executives together to solve a problem," said Mary Templeton, senior vice president of Polk's OEM group. "His skills in thought leadership, strategy development and business consulting are assets he will bring to our valued DaimlerChrysler customers."

Graczyk joins Polk from Johnson Controls, Incorporated (JCI) where he was the Area Solutions Sales Manager and Public Sector Manager in the company's Controls Group, responsible for managing sales and technical resources. Prior to joining JCI, Graczyk spent 16 years at AT&T where his work in marketing/sales culminated with a position as District Manager. His work at AT&T also included an onsite assignment at Polk.

With 18 years of technology, consulting and management experience, Graczyk's specific experience with the Automotive OEM and Tier 1 community includes:

DaimlerChrysler, Ford, General Motors, Volkswagen, Honda, Visteon and American Axle. While at AT&T, he developed and led a networking infrastructure initiative which ultimately resulted in a 5-year $81 million engagement with Visteon.

Graczyk holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Michigan State University and a master's of business administration from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Detroit Economic Club, Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce and Outsourcing Institute.
