Fonix Speech Solutions for Renesas Development Platform Demonstrated to Auto Manufacturers

Fonix Chief Technology Officer David Thomson will speak to the COMET Alliance, a group of companies selected by Renesas to contribute to its SH-4 semiconductor chip solution for the automotive market. Thomson will demonstrate Fonix's automatic speech recognition (ASR) and text-to-speech (TTS) technology solutions running on the Renesas Tahoe development board.
As one of the founding members of the Renesas COMET partnership program, Fonix provides ASR and TTS components for the SH-4 series processors and semiconductor chipsets that can be easily integrated by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). These components include speech interfaces for navigation, multimedia, mobile phone and in-vehicle environment control, which are specifically designed to reduce time to market for automotive manufacturers.
