UPS to Release 3rd Quarter Results on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004

ATLANTA--Oct. 14, 2004--UPS will announce its third quarter results on Thursday, Oct. 2, 20041, 2004, at approximately 8 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

At 10 a.m. EDT, UPS Chief Financial Officer Scott Davis will conduct an investor conference call. This call will be open to reporters and the public, on a listen-only basis, via a live Webcast.
