Michelin PAX System Travels to New York Oct. 19-20

CLICK4 VIDEO

WHAT: A ride-and-drive for PAX System, a new tire-and-wheel technology that has the potential to reduce tire-related accidents and is going mainstream in the U.S. this month.

  Consider the following statistics:
  * 23,000 tire related accidents every year -- 535 fatal
  * 27% of cars and 33% of light trucks/SUVs are driven with one or more
     substantially under-inflated tires
  * Consumer Reports evaluated 109 all-season car tires for 6-mo. with the
results showing all tires leaked some air -- from 3-8 psi
  * In a recent survey nearly half of households have experienced a flat
tire in the last year and 1/4 said they continued to drive even after
they realized they had a flat
  * Punctures are the leading cause of flat tires

  Now consider the implications of:
  * Never having to worry about yourself, friend or family member
(regardless of age) being stranded with a flat tire
  * Experiencing a complete loss of tire pressure (puncture/blowout) and
being able to continue driving comfortably and in control for up to 125
     miles at 55 mph
  * A system that performs better than standard wheel/tire -- inflated or
     deflated
  * Eliminating the hassle and inconvenience of spare tires, jack stand,
     etc.
  * PAX not only improves fuel economy but offers environmental benefits
from using less raw material during manufacture
