Seven Companies Join the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment

WASHINGTON, Oct. 14, 2004 -- The Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) today announced that Cole Specialty Systems, Inc., Denso International America, Diversity Products, Inc., Gage Products Company, Gates Corporation, General Oil Company and Quaker Chemical Corporation have become members of SP.

"SP is extremely pleased to welcome these companies into our organization," said Rebecca Spearot, Director, Environmental Management, Lear Corporation and SP's Chair. "With the addition of these seven companies to SP, our total membership now includes 27 companies, ranging from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to Tier Three suppliers."

John DiCerbo, Quality, EH&S Manager, Cole Specialty Systems; Robert Townsend, Senior Manager, Environmental, Safety and Health, Denso International America; Michelle Jackson, President and CEO, Diversity Products, Inc.; Timothy Wing, Vice President, Gage Products Company; Pauline Naccarato, Director of Purchasing, Gates Corporation; Tim Westerdale, President, General Oil Company; and Kitty Strang, Manager, Safety, Health and Environment, Quaker Chemical Corporation will represent their companies on SP's Board of Directors.

"The Suppliers Partnership provides a forum by which vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers can share information, tools and best practices in an ongoing effort to improve the environment while simultaneously providing cost- savings to member companies," said SP's Membership Chair, Gary Mayo, Director, Corporate Social Responsibility, Visteon Corporation. "As SP continues to expand its membership, we enhance our ability to achieve this goal and to prepare for future challenges and opportunities," he continued.
