Yazaki North America Continues Strong Support of Convergence
Company Once Again Signs on As Gold Sponsor
CANTON, Mich., Oct. 13 -- Yazaki North America (Yazaki) demonstrates its continued support of the advancement of the electronics/electrical industry at Convergence 2004, the world's premier automotive electronics conference. Yazaki, a leading supplier of automotive power and data solutions, is one of 10 gold sponsors at this year's Convergence show October 18-20 at Detroit's Cobo Conference and Exhibition Center.
"This international congress is one of the most important events for leading electrical/electronics suppliers and developers such as Yazaki," said George R. Perry, president and CEO of Yazaki North America. "Throughout the past 30 years Convergence has offered our industry a forum to showcase cutting-edge technology, share business ideas and promote some of the fastest growing automotive content today."
This year's Convergence theme, "Vehicle Electronics to Digital Mobility: The Next Generation of Convergence," is a celebration of the event's 30th anniversary and is woven throughout the technical program and keynote presentations.
Yazaki's (Yazaki North America, Inc.) booth display (#1036) will include a variety of power and data solutions, such as PDN -- Power and Data Networks -- that save weight, extend reliability, lower costs and shorten development time. Vehicle architecture components featured include in-vehicle fiber optic networks, digital power modules, advanced gateway technologies, instrumentation and HEV connectors and cable assemblies.
Convergence 2004 is sponsored by the Convergence Transportation Electronics Association (CTEA), Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Proceeds from the conference benefit the Convergence Education Foundation, a non-profit organization designed to increase the number of children who choose science or mathematics as a lifelong career.
