Executive Management Changes at DaimlerChrysler Services
* Changes Effective December 16, 2004 * North American area of responsibility expanded
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Oct. 1 -- DaimlerChrysler AG recently announced several new management appointments for DaimlerChrysler Services AG, the company's Financial Services Division headquartered in Berlin, Germany.
As successor to Dr. Manfred Gentz, Chief Financial Officer of DaimlerChrysler AG, Bodo Uebber will vacate his position as member of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler Services, effective December 16, 2004. It has been proposed that at the same time, he will become Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler Services AG. Uebber will continue to be responsible for the Financial Services Division within the DaimlerChrysler Board of Management.
The new Chairman of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler Services AG will be Juergen Walker, who previously headed DaimlerChrysler Services North America. In this new function, Walker will report to Uebber.
Klaus Entenmann, who until now held responsibility for Chrysler Financial in North America, will succeed Walker and assume overall responsibility for the newly created region Americas, which includes the operations in North America, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and Puerto Rico. Additionally, Entenmann is newly appointed as member of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler Services AG.
Mark Manzo, currently Managing Director of DaimlerChrysler Services Mexico, will assume additional responsibility for Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and Puerto Rico. In this position he will report directly to Entenmann.
William Jones, currently Vice President responsible for Corporate and Divisional Controlling at the Chrysler Group, will succeed Entenmann as Vice President - Chrysler Financial.
Norbert Meder, currently Vice President of Controlling for DaimlerChrysler Services North America, will lead the new function of Controlling, Finance, Risk Management and Strategy at the global headquarters in Berlin.
