Chrysler Group Announces Changes in the Controller's Office

* Appointments reinforce Chrysler Group's commitment to develop executives * Changes include first African-American female Vice President appointment

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 1 -- Chrysler Group today announced two new management appointments in the Controller's Office. Frank S. Sklarsky will succeed William F. Jones as Vice President, Corporate Financial Control and Kim Harris Jones will replace Sklarsky as Vice President, Product Finance. Williams F. Jones moves to DaimlerChrysler Services as Vice President of Chrysler Financial (see DaimlerChrysler Services press release for more details).

"The evolution of the Chrysler Group extends beyond our exciting new products because it begins with our people and their talents," said Dieter Zetsche, Chrysler Group President and CEO. "These new appointments are another example of our commitment to develop executives in all areas of the business."

Frank S. Sklarsky joined Chrysler Group in 1982 as an Analyst in Warranty Analysis and Control and has served in a number of key capabilities, including Vice President of Product Quality and Vice President of Product Finance. Frank holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard University. He also is a Certified Public Accountant.

Kim Harris Jones joined the Chrysler Group in 1992 as a Finance Executive in Employee Benefits. Since that time, Jones has served in a number of key capabilities, including her most recent assignment as Director of Product Financial Analysis. Jones holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in Finance from the University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant. Jones will be the first African-American female Vice President at the Chrysler Group.

Sklarsky and Jones will report directly to Dave Olsen, Executive Vice President & Controller.
