DaimlerChrysler Launches New Dealership Service Marketing Program

First Automobile Company to Air Branded Content with CNN Headline News in the Waiting Area of Dealerships

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Sept. 30 -- DaimlerChrysler today announced the launch of a new private television network "ServiceVision," making it the first automobile company to broadcast its own commercials and promotional content -- combined with live news from CNN Headline News -- directly to the customers in the waiting areas of dealership service centers around the country.

CNN On The Go, a Turner Private Network (TPN), produces DaimlerChrysler's ServiceVision. Live news from CNN Headline News is combined with corporate ads, dealer customized commercials and non-commercial content. CNN On The Go is distributed by satellite to the dealerships where a local server triggers the DaimlerChrysler and dealer content to play within the live news feed.

Dealerships will air valuable information about proper vehicle maintenance as well as customized sales specials for the waiting room audience. Local dealer supplied commercials, national commercials and special interest stories, such as new vehicle launches, concept vehicles and brand events will also run on the network.

"We are excited about this dynamic marketing tool because it allows DaimlerChrysler to seamlessly connect our messages to our customers when vehicle maintenance is top of mind," said Sallie Rhoads, Director of Global Service Marketing & Strategy, DaimlerChrysler. "Our customers can immediately react to the broadcast and speak with a service specialist about their vehicle." Deborah Cooper, Senior Vice President, Turner Private Networks, says, "The combination of CNN On The Go and advertising targeted to a specific audience is an unbeatable approach for increasing sales and driving repeat business to the dealerships."

ServiceVision is a national marketing tool available to all DaimlerChrysler dealerships and can already be seen at dealerships in Detroit and Atlanta.
