DaimlerChrysler AG Announces New Management Appointments In Its Services Division

-- Bodo Uebber is moving to the Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler Services AG with the ongoing responsibility for the Services Division as Chief Financial Officer of DaimlerChrysler AG -- Juergen Walker appointed new Chairman of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler Services AG

STUTTGART, Germany and BERLIN, Sept. 30 -- DaimlerChrysler AG today announced several new management appointments for DaimlerChrysler Services AG, the company's Services Division headquartered in Berlin:

As successor to Dr. Manfred Gentz, Chief Financial Officer of DaimlerChrysler AG, Bodo Uebber (45) will give up his position as member of the Board of Management of Daimler Chrysler Services, effective as of December 16, 2004. It has been proposed that at the same time, he will become Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler Services AG. Bodo Uebber will continue to be responsible for the Services Division within the DaimlerChrysler Board of Management.

The new Chairman of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler Services AG will be Juergen Walker (54), who previously headed DaimlerChrysler Services North America.

In this new function, Juergen Walker will report to Bodo Uebber.

Klaus Entenmann (48) and Stephan Engels (42) are newly appointed as members of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler Services AG. Entenmann, who until now held responsibility for Chrysler Financial in North America, will succeed Walker and assume overall responsibility for the region America. In his new position as a Board of Management member, Stephan Engels' previous responsibility for Controlling, Finance and Risk Management of DaimlerChrysler Services AG will be extended to include the Non-Automotive Business sector.
