Mobility Technologies Names Michael Nappi to Manage Wireless and Interactive Online Initiatives; Will Focus on Content-Based Partnerships
WAYNE, Pa.--Sept. 30, 2004--Mobility Technologies (R) today announced the appointment of Michael F. Nappi as Senior Vice President of Business Development. His initial assignment will be to expand and accelerate the firm's distribution of traffic and related content through wireless and interactive online channels.Robert N. Verratti, Mobility's Chief Executive Officer, commented: "Michael's background in business development, strategic marketing and sales in the location based services industry at firms such as MapQuest and Webraska will serve him well as he develops significant relationships with wireless providers and interactive online portals that will complement Mobility's core technologies."
Michael's background is focused on executive level sales, strategic marketing and business development. Prior to joining Mobility, he was senior vice president of sales and marketing at Webraska, a firm that provides advanced software solutions to the global telecom industry for deploying location-based services.
Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager at MapQuest.com. During his tenure, he was a member of the founding team and created the Business Solutions Group whose client roster grew from 50 in 1997 to over 2000 by year-end 1999. He also managed the www.mapquest.com consumer site, which became the de facto standard for maps and directions on the web. He was a member of the executive team that executed the MapQuest IPO and its subsequent sale to America Online, Inc.
Prior to MapQuest, Michael held senior sales, product management and marketing roles with GeoSystems and Unisys.
