SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--Sept. 29, 2004--Federal-Mogul Corporation (OTCBB:FDMLQ) has expanded its industry-leading product offering for heavy-duty truck and trailer wheel-ends with a broad new line of National(R) cast aluminum hub caps. The new line of National hub caps joins Federal-Mogul's Abex(R) heavy-duty friction products and National seals and bearings in a complete wheel-end solution for virtually any commercial application.

National cast aluminum hub caps are available in six advanced designs matched to the performance requirements of any heavy-duty wheel-end. Available designs include standard cast aluminum oil caps; standard cast aluminum oil caps with side fill plugs; cast aluminum grease caps; cast aluminum Hubodometer(R) Hubo-mounting caps; PSI grease caps; and PSI oil caps. Federal-Mogul continues to offer a variety of chrome-plated steel caps and polycarbonate threaded caps for trucks and trailers.

Each new National hub cap features Zytel(TM) windows that are highly resistant to cracking, clouding and discoloration and which are compatible with all lubricants. In addition, National's preferred slit-style vent-plug design dramatically reduces the contamination associated with conventional, pinhole designs.

Each new National hub cap also is packaged with a premium Fel-Pro(R) flange gasket featuring a proprietary non-stick coating. This advanced coating ensures faster, easier gasket installation and removal, and eliminates the need to use an RTV sealant. The Fel-Pro gasket also is highly resistant to compression set, ensuring superior sealing to the hub face and positive lube retention within the hub cavity.

Federal-Mogul is supporting the new product line by offering mounting gaskets, window replacement kits and plugs on an individual basis.
