Federal-Mogul Announces Second Million-Point Winner in Moog 'Problem Solver' Promotion

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--Sept. 29, 2004--Eshwar Latchman, a professional technician for Solution Automotive in Staten Island, N.Y., is the second million-point winner in the 2004 Moog(R) Chassis Parts Problem Solver Promotion from Federal-Mogul Corporation (OTCBB:FDMLQ).

Latchman's million-point ticket - received with an order of four Moog replacement steering and suspension components for a customer's vehicle - already has been redeemed for a new washing machine and dryer, two plasma televisions, a projection television, a Wave Runner personal watercraft with trailer, lawnmower, snowblower, generator, and other valuable items.

"When I scratched the ticket and saw it was for a million points, I wasn't sure it was for real. So I called Federal-Mogul and talked to a customer service representative," Latchman said. "She asked, 'Are you sure it has a one followed by six zeroes? If so, you're one lucky guy.'"

Latchman has relied on Moog chassis parts for virtually his entire 10-year career. "I prefer Moog for all of my customers' vehicles - it's a better brand with better technology for today's applications," he said. "The quality is absolutely second to none."

Professional technicians across North America can receive free Moog Problem Solver promotional tickets simply by installing the automotive service industry's premier brand of steering and suspension components. Each ticket carries a point value that can be used to purchase corresponding merchandise. Tens of thousands of tickets already have been redeemed in the 2004 program.

"Thousands of talented professionals like Eshwar understand that Moog stands alone in developing proven solutions to many of the steering and suspension problems encountered in domestic and foreign nameplate vehicles," said Moog Brand Manager Kristen Phipps. "We're pleased to be able to reward these professionals through the Moog Problem Solver promotion; this is a great way to earn valuable merchandise simply for choosing on the number one brand in the business."

Throughout its history, Moog has specialized in developing track-tested technologies that improve on existing product designs and are easier to install. Moog components have helped drive each NASCAR Cup champion to victory for 38 years running.
