ArvinMeritor Earns Top Honors for Creativity in Marketing and Advertising in Automotive Aftermarket Awards Competition

TROY, Mich., Sept. 29 -- ArvinMeritor, Inc.'s Light Vehicle Aftermarket (LVA) business has earned top honors in the 10th Annual Aftermarket Global Design Awards competition. Sponsored by the Automotive Communications Council (ACC) and Aftermarket Business magazine, the Aftermarket Global Design Awards recognize innovative ideas, creativity and high-quality marketing advertising. Awards are presented in six categories -- print advertising, merchandising/display, promotions, packaging, brand logotypes and web sites.

ArvinMeritor LVA earned seven awards in this year's competition, including Best of Show: Print Advertising for its "Purolator(R) Classic Truck" advertisement. The ad promotes WHAT of Purolator's WHAT oil filters.

In addition to the Best of Show recognition, the company took home the following awards:

  *  Gold:  Print Advertising - "Purolator GTO" advertisement

* Silver: Web Site - the newly redesigned Purolator web site, www.pureoil.com

* Honorable Mention: Print Advertising - ArvinMeritor advertisement from the MEMA Focus edition
