Cascade Announces Preliminary Agreement to Acquire Falkenroth Foerdertechnik, GmbH

PORTLAND, Ore.--Sept. 28, 2004--Cascade Corporation, , a leading international manufacturer of lift truck attachments, forks and accessories, today announced that it had reached a preliminary agreement to acquire the assets of Falkenroth Foerdertechnik. Falkenroth is a major European fork manufacturer located in Schalksmuhle, Germany and is currently in receivership.

Cascade anticipates closing the transaction within three weeks. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
