PRIMEDIA International Automotive Group Announces New Executive Management Team

ANAHEIM, Calif.--Sept. 28, 2004--PRIMEDIA Inc., the leading targeted media company, today announced the addition and promotion of six executives poised to strengthen its International Automotive Group with a focus on the rapidly growing tuner and urban automotive lifestyle markets. Under direction of the recently appointed Group President John Rousseau, the new management team will continue to drive the Group's comprehensive portfolio of more than 11 category-leading titles such as Super Street, Import Tuner and Lowrider, their respective Web sites, TV programs and events. Combined, PRIMEDIA's International Automotive Group reaches an audience of 7.5 million automotive enthusiasts in the male youth market.

Promotions and appointments for PRIMEDIA's International Automotive Group include:

-- Howard Lim - Promoted to senior vice president and group publisher of the Specialty & Lifestyle Tuner Markets

-- Kenneth Beach - Joins as senior vice president of National Accounts

Howard Lim - Senior Vice President and Group Publisher of the Specialty & Lifestyle Tuner Markets

After serving as the publisher of Super Street magazine for eight years and leading it to be the number one tuner brand in the marketplace, Howard Lim has been named senior vice president and group publisher of the tuner lifestyle market segment within the International Automotive Group. The group includes well-known brands such as Super Street, Import Tuner, Sport Compact Car, and Turbo. Lim has a significant role in the successful redesigns of both Super Street and Import Tuner, and in building successful events targeting the male youth market. Having spent seven years at HKS, one of the world's largest manufacturers of aftermarket automotive parts, Lim brings a distinctive experience and insight into the competitive marketplace.

As publisher, Lim will oversee all aspects of the brands' franchises including print, online, events and TV, and will work collaboratively with PRIMEDIA Enterprises, the company's worldwide brand licensing division, to further extend the tuner brands into consumer merchandising programs.

Kenneth Beach - Senior Vice President of National Accounts

Kenneth Beach joins the team as senior vice president of National Accounts for the International Automotive Group. Ken brings an abundance of sales leadership experience and knowledge to PRIMEDIA. Spending the last 12 years with Ziff Davis Media in various sales management roles for leading brands such as PC Magazine, PC Computing and Smart Partner, Ken most recently served as vice president of Corporate Sales. He was responsible for driving revenue through integrated media programs aimed at Ziff Davis' largest accounts.

Beach will be responsible for overseeing the National Accounts sales team with a special focus on growing print, online and events revenues from large non-endemic brands. He has extensive experience in creating specialized integrated offerings and in spearheading large contracts across multiple brands.

Chris Kobran - Vice President and Publisher of the Lowrider/Urban Markets

Chris Kobran joins PRIMEDIA as vice president and publisher of the Lowrider/Urban Markets Group. The group includes Lowrider, The Lowrider Evolution Tour, Car Audio and Electronics, and EDGE. Kobran brings more than 10 years of print and online publishing experience, specifically within the youth and entertainment markets. Most recently he served as director of business development at IDG Entertainment where he was responsible for driving both reader and advertiser revenues through a variety of successful programs aimed at the youth male market.

In addition to overseeing all editorial and business aspects of the Lowrider/Urban Market brands, Kobran will focus on continuing to grow the Lowrider National Tour events and developing new product offerings.

Kenny Rudolph - Vice President of Sales Specialty & Lifestyle Tuner Markets

Kenny Rudolph joins the team with more than 15 years of sales management and business development experience. Most recently Rudolph served as President/COO of iCan!, a leading provider of consumer and corporate disability services. At iCan!, Rudolph developed new product offerings, spearheaded large corporate relationships and oversaw operations. He saw the company through a successful acquisition by Money.net. Prior to holding this position, Rudolph spent 10 years at Newsweek and Petersen Publishing where he held a variety of senior sales positions and was responsible for developing sales programs with national advertisers such as Toyota Motor Sales of America, Apple Computers, Hilton Hotels and Kinko's.

Rudolph will be responsible for leading the Specialty & Lifestyle Tuner Markets' sales team as they drive print, online and event revenue for existing and new customers. His experience in creating innovative new programs which integrate digital and print properties will prove invaluable.

Matthew Ingber - Vice President and General Manager of Digital Media

Online growth and the creation of new digital properties is a key initiative for PRIMEDIA's International Automotive Group. The group's core audience, males age 14-34, spend more time online than virtually any other demographic. Leading the group's digital offerings, Matthew Ingber has been named vice president and general manager of Digital Media. Ingber has held strategic technology and business planning positions with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Walt Disney Internet Group, General Motors and Revlon. Most recently, he served as director of business for the Broadband Group at Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

Charged with developing creative and compelling digital offerings for both consumers and advertisers, Ingber will be responsible for leading all aspects of the group's digital ventures including strategic planning, editorial content, business development, and sales and product development.

Dan Bednar - Senior Finance Director

Dan Bednar was promoted to senior finance director. As a licensed CPA with extensive financial analysis background at both PRIMEDIA and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Dan will be working with the senior management team to evaluate investment opportunities and to maximize revenues while maintaining efficiency.
