Superior Industries Announces Four Additional Wheel Supply Programs With The Chrysler Group

VAN NUYS, Calif.--Sept. 28, 2004--

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Liberty Are Superior's Latest Chrysler Group Wins

Superior Industries International, Inc. today announced that it has been awarded four new aluminum wheel supply contracts for the 2005 Jeep(R) Grand Cherokee and the 2005 Jeep Liberty.

"Not only do these volume wheel programs represent significant incremental business for Superior Industries, they are Superior's first ever Jeep nameplate contracts. These awards are further evidence of the strong relationship we continue to build with the Chrysler Group," said President and Chief Operating Officer, Steven Borick.

Two of these programs were developed on "quick-to-market" program timing schedules to meet model trim-line differentiation requirements on these key vehicle lines. Mr. Borick added, "Chrysler Group gave us an opportunity to show them what we could do in a short period of time and we ran with it. I am proud of our team's performance on these programs and honored to have Superior as part of the storied Jeep vehicle nameplate."

Superior will produce two designs each for the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Liberty models. Production shipments are scheduled to commence over the next several weeks.
