2004 Paris Auto Show - Day II

The 2nd day of the Paris Motor Show was a bit more quiet and it also provided opportunities to check the additional events, like the one in Hall 8 which featured cars and comics. As the French love comic strips and during the past few decades many car-related scenes have been published the organizers chose with delicate care.

The temperature was favorable today. A stroll around the halls revealed some gems, which could only appear in France: a go-kart with its wheels arranged in diamond pattern with the first one being driven, the two on each side are being steered, two new Aros from Romania - the company has not produce a single car lately, various Lada Kalinas, the final version of the Venturi Fetish with electric power (!), a quirky looking communical vehicle, called the Defi-Car, Mr Antonov on MG-Rover's Powertrain Ltd surrounded by many journalists and explaining its recent deal with the company.

The significant new model introductions can be found here.
