SSA Global Appoints Global Vice President of Channels and Business Development
CHICAGO & PHILADELPHIA--Sept. 27, 2004--Today at its annual Global Client Forum, SSA Global(TM), a leading provider of extended enterprise solutions and services, has appointed Martin Ambrose global vice president of channels and business development, as the company continues to focus on growing worldwide business through strategic alliances and its channels network. Ambrose, who will report to Graeme Cooksley, executive vice president of SSA Global, will be based in North America. He previously managed SSA Global's Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) operations as regional president.In his new role, Ambrose's responsibilities will include managing existing partnerships and channel relationships as well as signing new agreements in efforts to expand into new geographical regions and industry segments. He will oversee SSA Global's partnership with IBM, while also developing new relationships with channel partners, system integrators, infrastructure management vendors, implementation partners and companies with specific vertical industry expertise. The partnerships that Ambrose establishes will benefit SSA Global customers who are growing their businesses into new dynamic markets.

Ambrose's more than nine years with SSA Global includes positions in global marketing, where he developed product strategies based on input from customers, field sales staff and industry analysts. When he first joined SSA Global, he led the company's business consulting group in Canada.
Prior to working for SSA Global, Ambrose had enterprise software experience serving in business development, technical, consulting and sales management jobs at JBA Canada, JBA UK, and RTS.
