Toyota to Boost Domestic Japan Output Capacity to 3.8 mil units

NAGOYA — Toyota Motor Corp plans to boost its domestic production capacity to 3.8 million vehicles a year by the end of 2006, up 300,000 over its 2003 production scale, Toyota officials said Saturday.

The planned additions of domestic production lines are designed to satisfy burgeoning overseas demand, they said. (Kyodo News)
