Nissan Donates $50,000 to Help Victims of Hurricane Ivan

CANTON, Miss.--Sept. 24, 2004--Nissan North America, Inc. today donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund which enables the Mississippi Red Cross to provide much needed assistance to victims of Hurricane Ivan and other major disasters.

"Our hearts go out to the victims of the storm that swept through Mississippi," said Dave Boyer, Vice President of Manufacturing of Nissan Canton. "Nissan strives to be a good corporate citizen and we feel compelled to do what we can to ease the suffering of our neighbors in the community. We are glad to be doing our part to help Red Cross make a difference."

Nissan presented its donation to the American Red Cross chapter in Jackson, Miss. on Sept. 24, 2004. Nissan's support of the American Red Cross is part of Nissan's global commitment to "Enriching People's Lives" through charitable contributions, in-kind donations and other philanthropic investments that support education, the environment and humanitarian aid.
