DENSO to Close Manufacturing Facility in Poland
Will shift operations from DENSO Manufacturing Polska to DENSO Manufacturing Italia
TOKYO, Sept. 24 -- DENSO Corporation today announced that it will shift operations from its DENSO Manufacturing Polska Sp.z.o.o (DMPO), Sosnowiec, Poland, facility to DENSO Manufacturing Italia S.p.A. (DMIT), in San Salvo, Italy. Operations at DMPO will close by the end of March 2005.
Magneti Marelli Poland (MMP), owner of the buildings leased by DMPO and group company of Magneti Marelli, has decided to discontinue its lease with DENSO so that Magneti Marelli can expand their own Poland operations.

DMPO, established in 1998, is 100 percent owned by DMIT. DMPO produces automotive motors including starters and wiper motors.
