GMAC/Trenton Forging #5 GTO Ready For Road Atlanta

Braselton, Ga. – Sept. 22, 2004: Staying the course developing the
GMAC/Trenton Forging #5 GTO World Challenge GT car, Stu Hayner and
company will take to the Road Atlanta track with a new suspension
package. The team is at the historic track for round 9 of the SPEED
World Challenge GT Series running in conjunction with the American
LeMans Series 10 hour long feature event, the Petit LeMans.

“We’re doing everything we can to keep advancing the car up the grid
and learn more about its characteristics,” said Hayner. “We finally had
enough time away from the track to try some different things with the
suspension. We really need to improve the car’s handling.”

“We’re also staying focused on making the car bullet proof,” Hayner
continued. “In the off season the plan is to put the car on a diet… but
not at the expense of reliability. We’ll also take that opportunity to
ask what could we have done differently?”

In addition to the racing activity, Hayner is participating in a
benefit go-kart event to raise funds for Motorsports Ministries.
Trenton Forging will field two teams in the three-hour endurance event.

The team will also host 30 guests from GMAC for Friday’s feature event
the SPEED World Challenge GT race.

Sunday, following the Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta, Chili Pepper
Racing is hosting a motorcycle charity ride through northern
Georgia. Fans can ride alongside SCCA SPEED World Challenge drivers,
including SPEED Touring Car Champion Bill Auberlen, Five-Time Le Mans
winner Derek Bell, Five-Time SPEED World Challenge Champion Michael
Galati, multi-race winner Stu Hayner, Former Rookie of the Year Matt
Plumb, Defending SPEED GT Champion Randy Pobst, event organizer Jim
Osborn and local rookie Seth Thomas. Trenton Forging will co-sponsor
the event.

“This should be a great weekend for us,” commented David Moxlow, team
owner. “We enjoy all the activity and involvement and we’re looking
forward to putting on a great show for our partners at GMAC Commercial
Finance.”

The SPEED World Challenge GT race will run Friday, September 24 and air
Sunday September 26 at 1PM EST on SPEED.
