World's Largest RV Retailer, FreedomRoads, To Add Camping World Store To North Carolina Dealership; Holiday Kamper Begins Construction on Statesville Facility
LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill.--Sept. 20, 2004--FreedomRoads, LLC, the nation's largest recreational vehicle retailer with revenues well above $1 billion, today announced one of its dealerships, Holiday Kamper, has begun construction to accommodate a new Camping World at it's Statesville, North Carolina location. The new Camping World store, scheduled to open in January of 2005, will connect with the Holiday Kamper RV facility and will cover some 10,000 square feet of retail space. This second Camping World store at a Holiday Kamper dealership is expected to create the same kind of consumer 'magnet' that it has at Holiday Kamper's Spartanburg, South Carolina location.
According to Freedom Roads Chairman, CEO and Co-Founder Marcus Lemonis, "The addition of the Statesville Camping World store is another step in bringing our customers added convenience which makes FreedomRoads that much more attractive. The synergies work well for both organizations and for customers," he said.
The sentiments were echoed by Kent Lester, Freedom Roads Southeast Regional President and Co-Founder, "The ability for our customers to get a lot done in one place is a bonus for our customers because it saves them time and hassles. It's good for us and it's good for Camping World in every respect. " he said. "With so much NASCAR related RV activity around here it's important to have a Camping World as many of these fans need equipment and accessories," he continued.
North Carolina represents the largest upside potential to Holiday Kamper and the addition of a Camping World store enhanced the consumer appeal. According to Josh Erickson, Director of Operations at Holiday Kamper, "Unquestionably, the addition of Camping World to our existing facility will elevate our dealership to the next level. The marriage really makes perfect sense for not only Holiday Kamper and Camping World but for also the consumer. Essentially we are chasing the same buyer with different products, so why not make it convenient for them at one location?" he stressed.
Currently there are seven Camping World stores at FreedomRoads dealerships across the country and an additional eight will be opened in the next twelve months.
