Taylor directs the company's Emissions Technology Development team, which plays a pivotal role in revolutionizing the way diesel engine manufacturers meet the upcoming 2010 diesel emissions standards. The team can already be credited with numerous achievements in emission control. They were the first to demonstrate on-board viability of the Plasma Fuel Reformer, a breakthrough exhaust technology that uses hydrogen to control tailpipe emissions. Taylor's group also developed the Thermal Regenerator, which enables diesel soot filters to operate in difficult real-world environments.

"Although I am highly honored to be a recipient of the TR100, the credit really goes to my engineering team," commented Taylor. "It is because of their diligence and willingness to go the extra mile that we as a company can offer innovations to our customers. Our products are changing the landscape of emissions management thanks to the pioneering efforts and hard work of our engineers."

Taylor is a 10-year veteran of the emissions industry and has been with ArvinMeritor for 8 years. He has earned engineering degrees from Clemson University, North Carolina State University, and MIT.
