America West Partnership With Autolog Makes Relocation Cheaper

Customers Can Take Advantage of Everyday Low Fares and Get a Great Discount on Shipping a Vehicle

PHOENIX, Sept. 20 -- America West Airlines , the nation's second largest low-cost carrier, and Autolog, a nationwide auto transporter, announced today an agreement that will give seasonal commuters the opportunity to enjoy America West's low fares and great service while benefiting from discounted rates for transporting their cars. Autolog now transports vehicles in its Car-Rail, a fully enclosed rail car operation, on routes between the Minneapolis/St. Paul and Chicago metro areas and Arizona, and between the New York and Chicago metro areas and Arizona and California, as well as on its fleet of over-the-road automobile transporters, which operate nationwide.

"We're pleased to work with Autolog because of the great convenience this will mean to our customers," said Travis Christ, vice president, marketing, America West. "The many 'snowbirds' who maintain winter homes in the Valley as well as homes in the Midwest and Northeast will find this offering virtually tailor-made to their needs. They'll have our great fares and dependable flights for their own transportation and a convenient way to get their vehicles there, too." America West is the only airline that provides daily, nonstop flights between Phoenix and both Chicago O'Hare and Minneapolis/St. Paul.

All Autolog customers who fly America West within 30 days of their vehicle's ship date will receive a discount on their auto transport return fare or 1,000 FlightFund miles, whichever they prefer. To take advantage of this great package, visit www.autolog.net or contact an Autolog customer service representative toll-free at 877-AUTOLOG (877-288-6564).

"More than 250,000 people reside in northern cities in the summer months and return to homes in Arizona in the fall and winter," stated Myron Levine, Autolog Corporation's president. "Until now they've had only two options regarding the transport of their personal vehicle -- drive the vehicle or hire an independent trucking company which typically charges in excess of $800. Taking into account gas, tolls, food, lodging and wear and tear, it is now less expensive to transport your car via Autolog's Car-Rail operation and fly America West than to drive the 2,000 miles to Arizona or California."

Autolog began transporting automobiles by truck in 1976 and has grown to be a premier auto hauler in the United States. During the past 25 years, Autolog has opened shipping terminals across the country and presently operates in excess of 100 terminals, located in most major cities in the United States.

America West Airlines is the nation's second largest low-fare airline and the only carrier formed since deregulation to achieve major airline status. America West's 13,000 employees serve nearly 55,000 customers a day in 96 destinations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica.
