Stovold, Hiltz shine at Innisfil during Festival of Rotax
INNISFIL, ONTARIO Gilford's Matt Stovold led the field from start to
finish in the Rotax Max Senior finale at the Festival of Rotax, held at the
new Innisfil Indy last weekend.
"This is a great result for our Holgate Motorsports team," Stovold said
after his dominant performance. "Brad was there with me for a while, and it
would have been good for us to finish one-two-three."
Brad LeLiever was running a strong second until his chain parted company
with his CMP chassis. "I just can't buy a break this year. It would have
been a good fight, but still a one-two for our team is a good result."
Benefiting from LeLiever's misfortune was the third Holgate Motorsports
team driver, Ashley Hiltz. Hiltz finished a strong second. "This is a great
result for our team," Hiltz said. "Hopefully the results will be much the
same next weekend also."
This coming weekend, all three Holgate drivers will be back in action as
they will contest the season finale of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting
Championship presented by Toronto Star Wheels at the Innisfil track. "I am
hoping for a strong finish from all our drivers," Holgate team Principal
John Holgate said. "We just need a bit of good luck for a change."
