Delphi Announces Personnel Moves for Aftermarket Unit
TROY, Mich., Sept. 14 -- Delphi Corp. today announced the following organizational changes for Delphi Product & Service Solutions, Delphi's aftermarket and consumer products division.
John Short, managing director - Delphi Diesel Aftermarket, will retire Dec. 31 after more than 32 years with Lucas and Delphi in the automotive aftermarket. John first became involved in the aftermarket in 1972, when he joined Lucas Electrical. Following various assignments in systems and marketing, John transferred to Lucas World Service as Business Development Manager responsible for the development of international marketing, sales and service strategies. John was subsequently named marketing director of Lucas Electrical Parts & Service in 1987, general manager, electronics & switchgear for Lucas Aftermarket in 1990 and general manager, electronics & fueling for Lucas Aftermarket in 1993. Since Lucas Diesel became part of Delphi in 2000, John has been responsible for the company's global diesel aftermarket operations. John is located in Warwick, United Kingdom.
Michael Rayne, currently director, North American Diesel Aftermarket located in Troy, Mich., will replace John. Mike joined Lucas in 1969 as an electronics engineer. In 1978, Mike transferred to the United States as Lucas' Technical Director, before being named general service manager in 1985 and general manager in 1997. At the time Lucas Diesel became part of Delphi, Mike was named to his current position. Mike is presently responsible for a U.S. network of more than 400 Diesel Service Agents. In his new position, Mike will relocate to the United Kingdom and report directly to Francisco A. (Frank) Ordonez, president, Delphi Product & Service Solutions and vice president, Delphi Corp. from a global standpoint and to Bernhard Mrosek, managing director, Delphi Product & Service Solutions Europe, Middle East and Africa, from a European coordination standpoint.
Dominic Seto, currently director - global engineering, service, manufacturing and quality, is named managing director, Asia Pacific, reporting to Ordonez. In his new role, Dominic will focus on significant growth opportunities in this region. Dominic joined Delphi at its Packard Electric Division in 1980 as an electronics engineer. After various engineering assignments, Dominic was named Packard's managing director of Southern China in 1996, engineering director, Asia Pacific in 1998 and managing director, ASEAN (Association of South East Asia Nations), Australia and India in 2000, before assuming his current position in early 2001. A native of Hong Kong, Dominic will relocate from Troy, Mich. to Shanghai.
Joginderpal (Jog) Lall, currently acting director, Sales & Marketing Europe, will assume permanent responsibility of the European sales and marketing activity. In addition, he will continue to be the European Service Technologies & eBusiness director, as well as acting director for Benelux. Jog will continue to report to Bernhard Mrosek, managing director Delphi Product & Service Solutions Europe, Middle East and Africa. All the country sales and marketing directors will report to Jog from a functional standpoint as well as the DISS business line director and the European brand and communications managers from an operational standpoint.
Jog joined Lockheed in 1998 as business development manager and was subsequently named European Service Technologies manager. Since AP Lockheed Automotive Ltd. became part of Delphi in 2000 Jog has assumed additional responsibility for eBusiness and, since January 2004, has served as acting director - sales & marketing Europe and for the Benelux.
