CooperVision Announces MINI Cooper Giveaway Winner

Indiana-based eye-care practitioner wins first of two planned giveaways

LAKE FOREST, Calif., Sept. 9 -- CooperVision has announced Jason Rich, O.D., an eye-care practitioner in Warsaw, Ind., as the first of two winners to receive a 2004 MINI Cooper as part of a nationwide promotion. Dr. Rich received the MINI Cooper on Friday, September 3.

The promotion, which began in April, was launched to help raise awareness for CooperVision's newly named Vertex(TM) Toric line of contact lenses. For every six-pack of Vertex Toric contact lenses ordered between May 1, 2004 and July 31, 2004, CooperVision automatically entered eye care practitioners in a drawing to win a 2004 MINI Cooper.

Dr. Rich is an optometrist at The Spectacle Shoppe, a private practice in Warsaw, Ind. He serves a patient base of approximately 12,000. Rich is a 2001 graduate of Indiana University School of Optometry, and currently serves as secretary/treasurer for the North Central Optometric Society of Indiana. He is a resident of Claypool, Indiana.

CooperVision will hold another drawing on or around November 15, 2004 to giveaway a second 2004 MINI Cooper. This drawing is for Vertex Toric contact lenses ordered between August 1, 2004 and October 31, 2004.

"This is the first promotion of this magnitude for CooperVision, and we're very pleased with the success of the first round," said Mark Bertolin, director, web marketing, CooperVision. "Practitioner acceptance of the new brand name for the Vertex line has been exceptional. We hope that the next drawing will bring just as much excitement as we saw today in Warsaw, Indiana.

Practitioners can still register for the second MINI Cooper giveaway at http://www.cooperminicooper.com/.
