FISHER/UNITECH Acquires Corporate Software Solutions; Top SolidWorks Reseller to Target Increased Service and Support with Two Locations in Indiana
TROY, Mich.--Sept. 7, 2004--FISHER/UNITECH, a leading engineering technologies firm serving the Great Lakes region, announced today that it has completed its acquisition of Corporate Software Solutions (CSS.) CSS, based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has provided software, hardware, development services and support solutions for product development since 1982."CSS has an excellent reputation for providing 3D design solutions and support to Indiana's manufacturing community," said Charles Hess, president of FISHER/UNITECH. "We are excited to have Dave Johnson join our team as branch manager of our new Fort Wayne office. His expertise in engineering combined with our infrastructure for PLM solutions will create a dynamic, new resource for the manufacturing sector in Indiana. We look forward to working with his customers to provide outstanding support of the technologies we sell."
The greatest benefit to the customer will be the enhanced support that will result from this transaction. FISHER/UNITECH provides unsurpassed toll-free phone and web-based technical support to its customers and offers "SupportExpress", which is a "virtual" on-site technician whenever needed. An additional benefit is the ability to provide a broader range of products and consulting services focused on PLM.
In addition to the Fort Wayne location, a branch office will be located in South Bend, Indiana, to better serve northwestern Indiana.
"I am pleased to be part of the FISHER/UNITECH team, and to play an integral part in the growth of the company in Indiana," said Dave Johnson, former CEO of CSS and new branch manager of the Fort Wayne office.
